Portable Work Bench (Part 11) More Bench Top Glue Up

Bottle of glue.
Bottle of glue.

I emptied yet another bottle of glue, good thing we still have plenty of it. This time its going in to be washed out and cleaned up, yes we have a backup bottle just waiting to be put into the game.

More two and three packs of oak glued together. A lot of wait for glue to set and try to be patient. I am thankful there is healthy shop conversation to keep me occupied while waiting for the glue to set.

We managed to get the top most layer of the front board for the bench top glued and into the clamps. This is the nicest looking piece of the entire bench top as it is made up of the select quarter sawn oak. In the picture below you can see the step in the boards where we left room for the vise.

There really isn’t much new this time around, more glue, more boards, more waiting. Next time, more glue up!
